The need to produce energy from clean sources has caused public administrations and private companies look for suitable places. windiness detected in the eastern area of Matese karst massif (southern Italy) favored construction wind farms electricity sources. During installation first turbines, some alterations supply drinking water, fed by springs this area, were attributed population installation. Therefore, order assess whether there been an impact produced on quality groundwater, a detailed hydrogeological study was developed. Karst features mapped, focusing endorheic areas, sinkholes springs. Artificial tracer tests then carried out investigate groundwater flow circulation connection between surface landforms Chemical physical characteristics monitored during and, following months, infield measurements laboratory analysis spring water samples. This highlights that mainly develop along boundary which are important recharge zones resources, directly connected major through dense network conduits. results monitoring did not reveal any anomalies therefore, cannot be farms. Our investigation appears useful better understanding possible actual future effects both area.
